The GMW-B5000D-1C watch is part of G-SHOCK's legacy and celebrates its roots with a design that pays homage to the DW-5000C, the first G-SHOCK, now in a fully metal watch.
Each color has been faithfully reproduced to maintain the essence of the original.
Its stainless steel bezel, with its depth and meticulous detailing, requires a superior forging, cutting, and polishing process. It has an elegant satin finish and mirror-polished chamfered edges.
The G-SHOCK GMW-B5000D-1C is inspired by the original but is a metal version. To achieve this, shock-absorbing components made of fine resin have been integrated between the bezel and the stainless steel case, and a three-pronged lug has been developed that connects the strap and helps dissipate impacts to the retaining tubes. As with the original, the case features a screw-down clasp that ensures optimal water resistance.
Even the metal strap nods to the past: the pieces have indentations that mimic the design of the resin strap of the first G-SHOCK.
