About Seiko SPB239J1 Prospex Modern Reinterpretation of 1965 diver:
The modern reinterpretation of iconic watch of 1965 is presented the SPB239J1 in special straps designed and manufactured for diving with a traditional braiding technique called Seichu, as seen in a traditional "obijime", the decorative cord that holds a kimono sash in place, much more strong and resistant to the degradation by sunlight. In addition, thanks to their unique braiding pattern, the straps have the flexibility and air permeability that ensure maximum comfort on the wrist. The dial harmonizes perfectly with the earth tones of its straps. It comes with an additional strap of a different color that can be easily swapped without tools.
The 1965 dive watch was equipped with a 150-metre automatic water-resistant mechanical caliber, designed to offer maximum precision and readability in the harshest conditions and proved its reliability when used in Antarctica in the 60s and inspiring the development of future iconic watches.
