About the Seiko SSC913P1 Prospex Speedtimer watch:

The Seiko Prospex SSC913P1 is a solar chronograph inspired by the 1969 Speedtimer. Powered by the Caliber V192 Solar.

The SSC913P1's dial  has a sand finish that ensures high levels of legibility crucial on Prospex

The shape of the case is faithful to the original, but its diameter is  41,4 mm,  the line  and polishing of the bracelet is smooth, and the curved sapphire crystal update the SSC913P1. 

Its aluminum bezel carries distinctive colors and the design of the hands just like the original Speedtimer. The chronograph seconds hand and the minute hand (dial at 6 o'clock) are in red to improve their legibility.

Fascinated with Swiss watchmaking, he dreams of being a high-end watchmaker and at just 18 years old creates a watch repair shop in his own home in Kyobashi (Ginza district). Four years later he founded the company K Hattori for repairs and sale of second-hand watches. In the 1970s, Seiko is looking for alternatives to quartz with solar technology and later will be the kinetic watch, direct drive movement, chronograph, perpetual calendar, GMT, Astron GPS Solar (2012), Diver's watches and their diving watches. In the late 1990s, they created the Grand Seiko collection with large mechanical calibers such as the 9S and soon after perfection with the Spring Drive system coupled with all these advances and more.
